This was a product that I conceptualized and directed at Adobe. In 2013, Adobe began to organize their digital marketing products under the Marketing Cloud system and all products had to be redesigned to fit Adobe’s emerging collaborative/cloud product paradigm.
Prior to this product organization move, Adobe Analytics was more or less a stand-alone product with high-level navigation leading to other products. This new product organization allowed for analytics/reporting to become the central navigation paradigm of the cloud where data reports were an artifact of analysis that extended understanding beyond the Adobe Analytics product. This changed the way we needed to think about “reports” and “dashboards”, and how they were created and modified. I primarily directed the concept and design of this product, while most of the mocks you see were created by a designer on my team, Matt Bryan.
